Q: What are the benefits of using the Augusta University JagCard?

A: Security - It's safer than carrying cash. Leave your wallet locked up and use your ID. Since your photo and encoded information are on the JagCard, it is very difficult for someone else to use your card. Your account can be blocked if you lose or misplace the card.

Convenience - You no longer have to fumble for money or change to pay for refreshments, snacks, meals, books, supplies, or copies at participating locations. It is faster than using cash or a credit card too!

Money Management - It's an excellent money management tool helping you budget and plan for your campus needs. Look for special discounts at locations that accept the Augusta University JagCard.

Other functions will come available in the future such as secure building access, and new locations where you can use your card are becoming available all the time.

Q: What do I have to do to use my JagCard?

A: Just add money to your card at the JagCard office or Jagstore using cash, check, Mastercard, Visa or Discover. It is just that simple, just swipe and go. Or you can add funds here online!

Q: How do I use the JagCard?

A: In vending machines swipe your card through the card reader, then make your selection. Once the item has been delivered your remaining balance will show on the display. At locations where a clerk is present, hand your card to them and they will swipe your card. A receipt will print showing your balance.

Q: Is there a charge for this service?

A: Currently there is not a charge for this service. There is a minimum $5.00 deposit. However, there may be a fee in the future.

Q: I want to purchase a meal plan but I can't see where to add it?

A: For the first few weeks of the semester we add all the meal plans to your card - To keep the online site simple we remove any extra plans - but if you want to buy one online just call the JagCard Office at 706-731-7080 and we will enable this for you.

Q: What if I lose my card?

A: You can disable your card online - just click on the Lost/Stolen Card link to the right. And if you find your card you can re-enable it too! If you have paid the $20 to have a new card made and then find your old card we are unable to re-activate your old card. Older issued JagCards that are found should be turned into the JagCard Office. Having more than one card at any given time may be subject to a penalty.

Q: I've lost my card - how do I get a new one?

A: First- you must disable your old card - you can do this right now online by selecting the Lost/Stolen card link on the right.

Then visit the JagCard Office and pay the replacement fee to have your new JagCard made. All funds on your card will automatically transfer to the new card.
